Jamie Gottlieb, MD

Dr. Gottlieb is not your typical surgeon. Known as Jamie to his patients, his unique approach to treatment goes beyond simple medical diagnoses. He believes in building a strong relationship with his patients, understanding their history and goals to provide the best possible treatment. With his distinctive style of wearing cowboy boots and scrubs, Dr. Gottlieb avoids complex medical jargon and uses simple, straightforward language to explain patients’ conditions.

After more than two decades of experience as a spine surgeon for clinics in Indiana and Texas, Dr. Jamie Gottlieb is specializing in treating chronic and degenerative spinal conditions, such as spinal stenosis and ongoing neck and lower back pain.

He was Chairman of the board and founder of the Unity Medical Surgical Hospital, a position he held for nearly a decade. He previously delivered care as a spine surgeon and an emergency response physician for hospitals and emergency care centers

Dr. Jamie Gottlieb was a research associate at the Scripps Clinic in San Diego. He has continued to publish his findings in respected publications such as the medical journal, Orthopedics. He earned his medical degree from Cornell University and completed his residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
